Throughout his career, Mark has been involved in the planning, development and implementation of business and marketing models as a consultant and business owner. His career has encompassed 3 distinct areas in the past 40+ years: financial services, product manufacture and distribution, and the design and marketing of telecommunications products and services.
His own personal experience, nearly a decade ago, navigating Medicare for a family member revealed the need for client-oriented service in the ever-changing and complex health insurance market. In 2015 Mark launched Qualified Insurance Advisers, whose mission is to effectively address QIA’s clients’ needs in both Medicare and Individual Health Insurance markets.
In 2020, seeing the beneficial results of this education-centric advisory approach led him to create MediSmart Advisors, an organization designed to educate and advise in the Medicare marketplace. MediSmart’s licensed brokers are independent and non-proprietary, fulfilling the clients’ needs with unbiased information and comparing and contrasting their available health care options.
